Italian Cultural Institute is glad to support Italian musician Niccolò Faraci at the 2nd Macao International Contemporary Music Art Festival. After the great success in the first edition, the festival continues to bring together outstanding musicians, industry professionals, and music lovers from around the world. Building on the success of the inaugural edition, this year’s festival continues to champion the themes of “Harmony, Crossover, Fusion, and Innovation” creating a vibrant platform where diverse musical styles and cultures converge.
The festival features a rich lineup of activities, including an international contemporary music competition, masterclasses, concerts, forums, and industry exchange sessions. These events are designed to discover and nurture emerging talent, facilitate cross-border artistic dialogue, and showcase the boundless creativity of contemporary music.
As a key initiative to promote Macao as a “City of Culture” and a “City of Performing Arts,” the festival serves as an important bridge connecting Macao with the global music scene. It offers a professional, open, and internationally minded stage for musicians of all backgrounds to express themselves, exchange ideas, and grow together.
This edition is proudly supported and funded by the Cultural Development Fund of the Macao Special Administrative Region (Fundo de Desenvolvimento da Cultura), reflecting the SAR government’s commitment to fostering cultural and artistic development, nurturing local talent, and promoting Macao as a dynamic hub for international cultural exchange.
About Niccolò Faraci
Born in Italy in 1979, Niccolò Faraci has become one of the most recognizable jazz double bassists in the world. When composing music, Niccolò Faraci aims to pay attention to the various tastes of listeners, so everyone has the opportunity to find something special in Niccolò Faraci’s music.
As a leader in various jazz music projects, Niccolò Faraci has participated in various world jazz music festivals and concerts in Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Montenegro, Poland, Czech Republic, Moldova, Serbia, Jordan and China, and soon also in Latvia.
During his career, Niccolò Faraci has presented several discs, including live recordings of his concerts.
