Italian Cultural Institute is glad to support “Discovering Turandot: A Night of Music, Culture, and Tuscan delicacies” organized by Dante Alighieri Society, in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Giacomo Puccini’s unfinished master piece, Turandot, premiered at Teatro alla Scala in Milan in 1926.
This event is designed for all who cherish Opera, Italian culture and gastronomy. It promises an enchanting evening filled with music, documentary screening and unforgettable flavours with food and wine pairing.
The evening will commence with the screening of an Italian documentary, exploring the composer’s creative journey, followed by a brief interview to the Chinese soprano He Hui, globally acclaimed for her interpretations of Giacomo Puccini’s heroines. The story of the Chinese princess Turandot will then come to life through a curated menu of Tuscan delicacies and Chinese-inspired dishes.
