Rodolfo Matulich – Piano Concert – FREE EVENT

Rodolfo Matulich got his diploma in piano at the Music Academy of
Alessandria, then he got a degree (PhD) in composition at the Regis University
and at the Berklee College of Music of Boston (USA). He studied Film Scoring
with Ennio Morricone at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena and orchestra conducting with Descev
and Schumacher in Lugano. He has cut records for Emi and Warner Bros, has
composed the soundtrack of the film “ La Bella di Mosca”, distributed by Medusa
and based on a novel by Erofeev, and that of the film “Joy, scherzi di gioia”
with C. Spaak and P. Leroy.

For RTI, the radiotelevision broadcasting of Italian
Switzerland, he has composed the music for the radio serialized version of “ La
donna venuta dall’est” and “ Natalia” as well as the documentaries “ La croce
del Giubileo ai Poli” and “ Una testimonianza dal Polo nord” for ORP (Opera
Romana Pellegrinaggi).

He has transcribed music by Mozart, Gounod, Bellini and
Puccini for the Tokyo Quartet, the cadence of Bonifazio Asioli’s” Concerto for flute
and orchestra “ for Andrea Griminelli, and he has also arranged pieces from
Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana” for the Symphonic Band within the “Gianluigi
Trovesi all’Opera” project.

He has supervised the arrangements for the film “Troppo
Sole” by Giuseppe Bertolucci and for the 1996-97 advertising campaign for
Barilla, together with Massimo Guantini, he arranged the famous piece “Love is
Blue” for two pianos and orchestra, drawn from the CD “Sleepy Shores” published
by Emi-Warner.

He has conducted symphonies by Tchaykovsky, Beethoven,
Mozart, Brahms with the Symphonic Orchestras of Plovdiv,
Shumen and Sofia
and has contacts with the New York
“Countdown Entertainment” society.

His most recent work is “Sinfonia della Croce” for orchestra
dedicated to His Holiness John Paul II, which also contains a text written by Karol
Wojtila himself: it is distributed by Warner Music (WEA) and it is often
broadcast by the Vatican Radio and by Radio Maria.

In 2012 Rodolfo Matulich relesed “Crystal’s Dreams”, his first CD for solo
piano, which has been internationally acclaimed.
