Hong Kong’s Foundation for the Arts and Music in Asia will present its next screening of The Traviata Story at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza C. The screenings will take place in FAMA’s amazing Popup Opera tent, a stylish 6 metre-high, custom-designed cinema with comfortable seating for 40 viewers.
The Traviata Story is a 90-minute documentary presented by award-winning actress Louisa So, whose love of opera and charming personality bring to the life the story of Verdi’s most popular work. The film includes excerpts from some of the world’s most celebrated productions of La Traviata, as Louisa So guides us through this beautiful and tragic love story. All speaking within the film is in Cantonese, with the opera being sung in Italian. There are Chinese and English subtitles throughout.
