This year, the European Union Film Festival (EUFF 2025) has the pleasure to present a selection of 13 European films which have never been screened in Hong Kong before. They were chosen carefully with the Consulates-General and Cultural Institutes of the European Union to share their rich culture and cinematic talent with the Hong Kong cinephiles.

The Italian Cultural Institute in Hong Kong supports the screening of the co-production between Italy, Czech Republic and Slovakia The Bohemian, presented by the Consulate General of Czech Republic in Hong Kong. There will be an introduction and music demonstration by violinist, violist and conductor Meidad Yehudayan before the screening.

Synopsis:

Looking for work as a violinist, Josef comes into the orbit of a rich young woman. She introduces him to a hedonistic existence free from religious intolerance. Josef gets an incredible commission: to write an opera for the San Carlo. Czech director Petr Václav delves into the extraordinary life of the acclaimed Bohemian composer Josef Mysliveček, illuminating his musical genius and deep friendship with Mozart. The film captivates audiences with its beautiful music, breathtaking production designs, and luxurious costumes.
