Born in 1977, Andrea Bacchetti has been collecting suggestions by musicians as Karajan, Magaloff, Berio, Horszoski since he was a child. At 11 years old he debuted with I Solisti Veneti, conducted by Claudio Scimone. “Master” graduate at the International Piano Academy “Incontri con il Maestro” (Meetings with the Maestro) of Imola (Bologna, Italy) with Franco Scala.From then on, he played in several international festivals all over the world as Lucerne, Salisbury, Belgrade, Santander, Toulouse (Piano aux Jacobins), Lugano, Camerino, Bologna, Brescia and Bergamo, Torino, Vicenza, Milano (MI.TO), Sorrento, Como, La Coruña, Pesaro, Palermo, Bellinzona, Sermoneta, Spoleto, Ravenna, Ravello, Cervo, Sagra Musicale Malatestiana (Rimini), Sagra Musicale Umbra (Perugia), Paris (La Serre d’Auteil), Bad Wörishofen, Husum. He collaborates with Rocco Filippini, Domenico Nordio, Uto Ughi; he also worked several times with the Prazak Quartet, the Ysaÿe Quartet, the Cremona Quartet and the Teatro della Scala Quartet.In his international discography, there are to remember the English Suites by Bach, the CD “Berio Piano Works” (DECCA); the DVD “Goldberg Variations” by Bach (Arthaus); the SACD with the “6 Sonatas” by Cherubini and those with the “Sonatas” by Galuppi and by Marcello (Sony Music). With Dynamic he recorded the “Inventions and Symphonies”, the “Toccatas” and a new version of the “Goldberg Variations” by Bach that have been praised by the most important international specialised magazines. Finally, his CD “Andrea Bacchetti plays Bach” received the prestigious award BBC Music Magazine CHOICE as “Disc of the Month” in April 2011.His new CD, published by Sony Music and dedicated to the “French Suites” by Bach, has already obtained the “Supersonic” of Pizzicato (Belgium), the “Disc of the Month” of Musica and it has been included among the best CDs of 2012 by the English authoritative monthly magazine Musical Opinion.His concerts have been broadcasted by radio stations as BBC Radio3 (UK), ORF (Austria), Radio France (at Roque d’Anthéron) RSI e DRS2 (Svizzera), RadioTre (Italy), New Zealand Radio, RNE (Spain) MDR Leipzig, CBC Radio3 (Canada), Poiskm (Russia).The most authoritative magazines in Europe, Japan and USA have been recognizing his talent for the last twenty years.
