Public Seminar & Theatrical Play
This is the final step of a successful series of events aimed at introducing the Nobel Prize winner Grazia Deledda in Asia, and launching the visit of the City University of Hong Kong in Sardinia, planned for the month of October 2014.The next events (28 May in Macau and 30 May in Hong Kong) will include a play in three sketches by Juan Morales, freely based on the life and works of Grazia Deledda, intended as an introduction of the Sardinian writer to the general public, to give a flavour of her life and works.The play is performed by Nicole Garbellini, as Grazia Deledda, and Juan Morales, as her reader.The events will also include two interesting lectures: “Primitivism and Modernity: The Mother, by Grazia Deledda”, by Professor Giuseppe Marci; and “The Sources of Grazia Deledda’s Background” by Professors Ugo Collu.Various scholars and writers will present their opinions about Grazia Deledda and her world.
