Mario Brunello was the first Italian musician ever to win the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, a victory which launched him into a stunning international career, appearing with conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Riccardo Chailly and Claudio Abbado. Brunello, who plays on a precious seventeenth century Maggini cello, takes centre stage in a programme of exquisite modernist works inspired by Italian classicism. The Italian-Russian connection is further enhanced by a performance of Stravinsky’s chamber-orchestral suite from the ballet Pulcinella. For friends of the Italian Cultural Institute / Consulate General of Italy special discount offer with 20% off on both Adult and Student Half-Price
