2013 is a big year for Opera Hong Kong as it marks its 10th anniversary. It is a milestonemoment to reflect on the charitable organization’s 10 years of contributions to the local art and
cultural development; and get ready to embark on a more successful future.
The Concert, staged on 20 January 2013 of 7:30 p.m. at Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall,
will feature world renowned opera singers, prominent local artists and celebrities with recognized
singing talent who have staged public performances. World renowned singers include Warren
Mok, an internationally acclaimed Hong Kong tenor; Shenyang, winner of various global awards;
Jennifer Rowley, who has performed in Covent Garden and Carnegie Hall and has established her
worldwide career with critical successes. The repertoire will include works from famous operas
such as Carmen, Don Giovanni, La Bohème, Madama Butterfly, The Tales of Hoffmann and
Turandot. The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra will accompany the show under the baton of
Perry So. Opera Hong Kong Chorus and Opera Hong Kong Children Chorus will also join the
performance.
Ticketing
Tickets are now available in all the URBTIX outlets, on Internet and by credit card telephone
booking. The ticket prices are $150, $250, $380, $1,000 and $10,000 (VIP). Half-price tickets
available for citizens aged 60 or above, people with disabilities, full-time students and
Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) recipients (limited tickets available on a firstcome
first-serve basis).
