Travelling around the world is about experiencing various cultures, getting to know histories and heritages of different origins. Flutists and musicians have the privilege of encountering these treasures by performing and presenting their work around the globe. Concerts are like journeys and performers are like tour guides; they guide the audience through several cultures and places with their music. In this year‘s Hong Kong International Flute Festival Gala Concert, the Hong Kong International Flute Association has invited flutists from various countries to lead you on a journey from past to present, from east to west!

THE PROGRAMME INCLUDES

Eldin Burton Sonatina for flute and piano

Pietro Morlacchi The Swiss Shepherd

Mike Mower Deviation on the Carnival of Venice

Yuko Uebyashi Au-Delá Du Temps
