Francesco Lomagistro – drums
Camillo Pace – bass
Pietro Vincenti – piano
T-Riot, a rock-solid jazz trio with a top-shelf Italian groove pedigree: the group features two members from Berardi Jazz Connection – drummer Francesco Lomagistro, bassist Camillo Pace – and pianist Pietro Vincenti from QUINTETTO X. All three musicians are in a straighter jazz vein, yet still one that’s filled with plenty of rhythm! The piano, bass and drums come together fantastically here, romping together through some great titles of their own and a few really excellent remakes as well. The T-Riot sound is full of energy with great Vincenti’s solo moments on piano.
Drummer/Percussionist/Educator Francesco Lomagistro began piano studies at age of 11 and later switched to drums. He received his Degree in Percussion Instruments at the N. Piccinni Music Conservatory in Bari (Italy) and the Degree in Didactis for Musical Instrument. Thanks to his versatility, Francesco has been playing in different musical environments together with many famous artists such as Edoardo Bennato, Rotem Sivam, Kay F. Jackson, Joice Youlle, Kelly Joyce, Sandra St. Victor, Wendy Lewis, among others. He leads the group Berardi Jazz Connection, a European jazz project.
Born in 1978 in Taranto, Camillo Pace graduated in double bass at the Conservatory N. Rota of Monopoli and in Jazz Musical Disciplines with a specialization in Musicology at the N. Piccinni Conservatory of Bari; he also studied Ethnomusicology at the University of Lecce. He has conducted classical studies with world-renowned musicians such as Franco Petracchi, Michele Cellaro, Giuseppe Ettorre, Armando Trovajoli and Biagio Putignani; in the jazz field with famous artists such as Giuseppe Bassi, Ares Tavolazzi, Erik Reed, Winton Marsalis and Rodney Whitaker. He has an intense concert activity in the classical field with chamber and orchestra ensembles directed by prestigious conductors and with internationally renowned classical soloists.
Born in 1970 in Ostuni, Pietro Vincenti started playing piano at the age of 13 as a self-taught student. At the age of 17 he moved to Milan to attend a jazz advanced course with Franco D’Andrea at C.P.M. (Centro Professione Musica) and to study Philosophy at Milan State University. In 1993 he joined the band QUINTETTO X as keyboardist, composer and arranger: QUINTETTO X became the leading band of the worldwide notable musical cultural association and movement “FEZ”, led by Nicola Conte, thus turning the best “black” sounds (Jazz, Funk, Brazilian) of the ’60 and ’70 into new, powerful, joyful and “live” dance tunes.
