A celebrated pianist and composer, Luciana Bigazzi began playing the piano at the age of five.

She gained a Diploma in Piano at the Turin Conservatory, a Diploma in Harpsichord at the Conservatory of Milan and a University Specialisation on the theme Le culture musicali (Musical Cultures) at the University of Tor Vergata in Rome. She later continued her advanced musical studies and the expansion of her repertoire of keyboard music of the eighteenth to twentieth centuries with Emilia Fadini, Jörg Demus, Paul Badura Skoda and Lazar Berman.

Luciana has taken part in numerous International Musical Festivals and television broadcasts by RAI Television, RAI International and other broadcasters. She has made numerous discographic recordings as an original interpreter and in 2006 she made her discographic debut starting the project subtitled "Works for Piano": the first album, Lacoste and the second, Passages have been very favourably received both by critics and her admiring general public. The third album, Magical Places, released in January 2011, constitutes an important moment in her compositional career, in which a recognisable language emerges, supported and sustained by a high level of interpretative capacity.

Born in Turin, Maurizio Colonna is universally considered one of the greatest classical guitar players. He began playing the guitar at the age of five and at the age of seven he made his theatre debut as a soloist in Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez (a concert for guitar and orchestra) accompained by the Angelicum Chamber Orchestra of Milan at the presence of the Concierto's composer Joaquin Rodrigo.

One of today’s most representative and eclectic guitar players and composers, Maurizio is the author of numerous books on music history, guitar technique; together with Luciana Bigazzi he wrote books of compositions for guitar and for guitar and piano. He has released numerous records and film soundtracks, both as composer and principal interpreter, accompanied both by orchestras and international renowned soloists. He is co-editorial manager of The Christmas Songs Collection (Ed. Bèrben), a collection of Christmas carols from all over the world, proposed by well-known musicians in highly personal versions. He has also recorded a number of CDs and videos, both as a soloist and together with Australian guitarist Frank Gambale creating a significant niche for himself in the field of education and new guitar languages.

Maurizio has been a guest on television programmes broadcast by RAI, the Italian broadcasting authority and on other television networks, and at numerous international festivals. He has won several prizes, including the Special Prize from the Ente Nazionale dello Spettacolo, at the 9th Soundtrack Festival and the International Show Business Prize at the Fiuggi Platea Europa Festival.
