Italy participates with: Sweet Dreams (Fai bei sogni), a film by Marco Bellocchio which was screened in the Directors’ Fortnight section at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival and at the Toronto film Festival 2016.
Based on the novel Sweet Dreams, Little One by Massimo Gramellini, the film tals about Massimo’s idyllic childhood shattered by the death of his mother. Years later, he is forced to relive his traumatic past and compassionate doctor Elisa could help him open up and confront his childhood wounds.
