Born in Hong Kong, pianist Albert Lau completed his Master of Music degree (Distinction) at the Royal Academy of Music in London, under the tutelage of Joanna MacGregor. He had previously studied with Josephine Cheung in Hong Kong and with Emile Naoumoff at Indiana University, in USA, where he obtained his Bachelor of Music degree with high distinction.

A versatile pianist, Albert made his Southbank début at the Purcell Room in October 2013, performing John Cage's Sonatas and Interludes for Prepared Piano. In April 2013 he performed at the Royal Opera House alongside lead dancers from the Royal Ballet. An avid performer of contemporary music, Albert performed Sir Harrison Birtwistle's Carmen Arcadiae Mechanicae Perpetuum in November 2012 with the Academy Manson Ensemble, under Elgar Howarth. In June 2012 Albert performed with the Academy Symphony Orchestra in the European premiere of Charles Ives' Universe Symphony at the Aldeburgh Festival. Albert's extensive performance experiences have brought him to international venues such as Salle Cortot (Paris), Circolo Ufficiali (Genoa), Benaroya Hall (Seattle), Asamsaal (Ettlingen). He has played in master classes and lessons given by Stephen Hough, Maxim Vengerov, Joshua Bell, Roy Howat, Peter Mack, Pascal Nemirovski, among others. Albert received his chamber music training under prominent pedagogues such as Maurice Hasson, Mimi Zweig, Felix Schmidt, Paul Silverthorne, Martin Outram, Kevork Mardirossian, among others.

Albert has performed with violinist Paola Delucchi and cellist Sacha McCulloch. The group has given concerts in the UK and Italy, and garnered enthusiastic review from La Repubblica, Italy’s national newspaper. Albert is currently based in Cologne, Germany, and maintains an active schedule as a concert pianist.

Paola Delucchi is a talented violinist with solid and elegant interpretation skills, working mostly in London as a freelance performer and violin teacher. She has performed and organised many concerts across Europe (UK, Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria, Poland and Germany) as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral leader. In 2012 Paola completed a Master degree from the Royal Academy of Music in London, under the tutelage of Joshua Fisher. Previous to that, she got her Violin Italian Diploma at the "Conservatorio N. Paganini" of Genoa. In parallel to her music literacy, Paola gained a Philosophical Master Degree at the "Facoltà di Filosofia" of the University of Genoa 110/110 cum laude, specializing in philosophy of music.

She has played in many ensembles, performing from baroque to more contemporary repertoires and she has also won renowned competitions, such as "Castiglione delle Stiviere" and "Città di Castello" (Italy 2008) and "Harold Craxton Prize" (London 2012). In 2012 she founded alongside pianist Albert Lau the Apeiron Piano Trio, a lively young ensemble determined to pursue an international career. In 2014 Paola expanded her collaborations by joining diverse musicians to propose different sonorities and styles. As a result, she is currently performing in different orchestras across the UK and Italy: she has been the leader of the "Young Italian Orchestra" in 2008 and she has joined professional orchestras, such as the "Teatro Carlo Felice Symphony Orchestra" (2009). Apart from that, Paola had many solo and chamber music workshops or master classes with well-known international musicians, such as M. Uchida, K. Smietana, E. Schmieder, Y. Zhislin, D. Takeno, HU Kun, A. West, I. Brown, "Quartetto di Cremona", "Florestan Trio". She played under the baton of D. Oren, Sir C. Davis, L. Segerstam, A. Fisch, and Y. P. Tortelier.

Trained as a qualified teacher, she is currently working for two organizations in London, both specialised on string teaching: the London Music Masters and a primary school in the London borough of Hackney. Paola plays a violin Romeo Antoniazzi (Cremona 1902) and, since September 2015, is a European String Teacher's Association (ESTA) member. Starting from January 2017 Paola took up a teaching position at the Junior Academy, Royal Academy of Music in London.
