Solomusica presents The Face of Mercy - a special fund-raising concert to mark 2016 : the Papal Year of Mercy. Net proceeds will benefit the charity "Save The Children", to support a local project called ‘Most deprived and marginal children of Hong Kong and "Helping Hand", the charity that supports the much needed and delayed purchase of equipment for the improvement of the elderlies lives.
The performance of Mozart's Great Mass in C Minor and excerpts from the Handels’ Judas Maccabaeus features City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong and a local choir under the baton of distinguished Italian conductor Alessandro Cadario. Guest soloists include world renowned Italian sopranos Roberta Mameli and Francesca Lombardi Mazzulli, Italian acclaimed bass soloist Mirco Palazzi and Hong Kong-based tenor Attis Y Chen. The ineffable beauty of Mozart and Handel's works dedicated to the Mercy and performed in the intimate surroundings of St Johns Cathedral, will surely reward the audience who will bring their ears and their hearts to a good cause.
