During this event, jointly organised by the Italian Cultural Institute in Hong Kong and La Biblioteca Italian Library, and supported by The Italian Women’s Association, Paola Caronni will read her poems on the theme of ‘Journeys’ (partly included in her recently published collection ‘Uncharted Waters’).

Along with the poetry reading, there will be musical performance by Tarboosh : Sasha Frolov playing bansuri (Indian flute) and hand-pan; Bruce Hunniset (saxophone); Samer Shenouda (piano); and Maggie Tan (hand-pan).

A journey is not only a shift in physical space but also a mental and spiritual experience.

Why do we travel? What would stay in our memory after visiting a place? How do we transform this experience into words, and how do we turn it into music?

This poetic and musical journey will take you through time and places that fulfil our need to travel, to explore and perceive in new ways.
