Marco Pacassoni International Tour will present a programme of original songs composed by Marco Pacassoni and Enzo Bocciero; songs of famous artists such as Chick Corea, Pat Metheny, Dizzy Gillespie, Frank Zappa, Oliver Nelson and many more played in different styles: from Jazz to Fusion, to Swing and Latin.

The way the two musicians interact – better known as “interplay” – is something they developed in more than ten years of partnership. Pacassoni and Bocciero have been playing together in many festival and clubs all over Europe: Fano Jazz Festival, Beatonto Jazz Festival, Piacenza Jazz Festival, Montemarciano Jazz Festival, Valsugana Jazz Festival, Sant’Elpidio Jazz Festival, Festival Verdi in Parma, Estival Jazz Lugano, Adams Percussions Festival Holland.

 

Marco Pacassoni has graduated cum laude at “G. Rossini” Conservatory and in Professional Music at Berklee College of Music of Boston (cum laude). He studied with famous musicians such as Gary Burton, Ed Saindon, Victor Mendoza, Daniele Di Gregorio, Eguie Castrillo, John Ramsey and Steve Wilkes.

In 2005 Marco won the award for best jazz Iitalian talent at “Chicco Bettinardi Competition” organized by Piacenza Jazz Festival. Maestro Pacassoni has played with Italian and international well-known artists such as Michel Camilo, Alex Acuna, Horacio “el Negro” Hernandez, Steve Smith, John Beck, Amik Guerra, Trent Austin, Greg Hutchinson, Chihiro Yamanaka, Bungaro, Malika Ayane, Petra Magoni, Raphael Gualazzi, Luca Barbarossa, Francesco Cafiso, Massimo Manzi, Massimo Moriconi, Filippo Lattanzi, Daniele Di Gregorio, Paolo Belli, Luca Colombo, Cesare Chiodo.

Marco teaches percussions at Liceo Musicale Rinaldini in Ancona and at Urbino University. He taught vibraphone masterclasses at prestigious American colleges such as Oberlin Conservatory (Ohio), University of Minneapolis (Minnesota), Eastman School of Music (Rochester), Columbus University (Ohio), Cleveland University (Ohio).

Together with his quartet, Marco released a few music albums: “Finally”, “Happiness”, “Grazie” and “Frank & Ruth”. On April 2014 he published a composition book “Quasi Quasi Scrivo una Canzone …”.

 

Vincenzo Bocciero studied violin, piano and composition at the conservatories “D. Cimarosa” of Avellino and “San Pietro a Majella” of Naples. After graduation, he focused on piano and electronic music, ranging from the jazz field to unusual instrumental formations.

In the mid-’80s he started his compositional activities and was active in the soundtrack field. Currently he is Product Manager at KORG Italy and pianist of the “Marco Pacassoni Quartet”.
