Fashion is a language that creates itself in clothes to interpret reality (Karl Lagerfeld) – First seminar

During this first seminar, Dr Esterina Nervino will discuss about The role of the Italian language in the fashion system. From the world of craftmanship to today’s global brands, Italian words populate the discourse of fashion by simultaneously relying on and feeding the collective imaginary of the country of la dolce vita.

BIO

Esterina Nervino is Assistant Professor at City University of Hong Kong, holding a joint appointment at the Department of English and the Department of Marketing.
