The Italian Cultural Institute and the Consulate General of Italy in Hong Kong host a solo exhibition of 17 paintings and one sculpture by
Luciana Matalon.
Luciana Matalon was born in the Veneto region but moved to
Milan, where she made her debut in 1968. As a multifaceted artist she
devoted herself to painting, sculpting and creating jewelry.
Her artistic studies took place mainly at Milan’s Accademia di
Brera and during period spent in variety of foreign countries. Since
1966 she has participated to numerous group and solo exhibitions in
Europe, America and Japan.
Several European and American critics have shown interest in her
artwork and she has been selected by curator Vittorio Sgarbi to be part
of the Italian Pavillon at the 54th International Art Exhibition of the
Venice Biennale.
