For the first time in over a hundred years, the National Institute of Ancient Drama (INDA), thanks to the digital partnership with TIM, will broadcast free live streaming of the shows scheduled at Teatro Greco di Siracusa from 17 July to 30 August 2020; the shows will also be available on demand in the seven days following the performance.
Following the first three events that were held on 17 July, Da Medea a Medea with Lunetta Savino, live music by Rita Marcotulli under the direction of Fabrizio Arcuri, on 25 July, La Vedova Socrate by Franca Valeri with Lella Costa and directed by Stefania Bonfadelli and on 8 August, Laura Morante, interpreter of four heroines, Fedra, Antigone, Clitennestra and Lena from Fuochi by Marguerite Yourcenar, with live music by Rodrigo D’Erasmo and Roberto Angelini, the programme now continues with two additional shows:
On 22 August, Isabella Ragonese will stage Crisotemi by Ghiannis Ritsos, with live music by Teho Teardo and, on the cello, Laura Bisceglia and Giovanna Famulari.
Finally, on 30 August, the Romanian artist Mircea Cantor, Duchamp Prize 2011, whose works are displayed in the main international contemporary art museums, will present the world premiere of Il suono del mio corpo è la memoria della mia presenza, the site-specific performance that will involve students and teachers of Accademia d’arte del dramma antico in a sort of high-symbolic-impact ritual to represent the return to life after the pandemic.

It will also be possible to consult and download the booklet for the entire season.
