The great Italian puppet master Gianluca Di Matteo will perform 2 show on December 1st in the kids zone of the K11 Musea:
First show will be held from 1:15 pm to 1:45 pm
Second show will be held from 2:00 pm to 2:30pm
About the show:
Puppets shows have very ancient roots. The main Italian puppet character is Pulcinella.
Pulcinella speaks a universal language and with its rhythm and powerful gestural language, it becomes an effective tool for intercultural communication.
In these stories, Pulcinella meets, and often fights, typical characters from folk theatre: the wicked man, the fierce dog, the executioner…
The conflict that develops from these meetings is always funny, irreverent, cathartic, and moves forward with an unstoppable rhythm. It is a mechanism, a theatrical syntax from which one is inevitably seduced.
Pulcinella is a well-known Italian character but one may not be familiar with his voice when performed in a puppet show. A magic and powerful voice delivered with an old and mysterious technique similar to the one often used from teacher to pupil.
