About Edoardo Petretti “Panico Trio”
Formed in Rome in 2022, Edoardo Petretti “Panico Trio” brings together three visionary musicians united by a passion for improvisation and its endless possibilities. Blending the raw soul of traditional folk music with the rich textures of jazz and the elegance of European classical music, their sound is both rooted and innovative.
At the heart of the trio is pianist and composer Edoardo Petretti, whose artistic direction shapes the group’s distinctive voice. With Marco Zenini on electric and upright bass and Francesco De Rubeis on drums and percussion, the trio creates music that is cinematic yet intimate, fearless yet refined.
Their latest album, KARIBU, is a bold and evocative journey through diverse musical landscapes, enriched by collaborations with some of the finest talents from Rome’s vibrant music scene.
Individually, the members of Panico Trio have worked with renowned artists such as Paolo Fresu, Francesco De Gregori, and Aires Tango. Together, they stand at the intersection of tradition and experimentation, reshaping the language of contemporary jazz with authenticity and flair.
Petretti’s Panico Trio invites listeners into a world where structure meets spontaneity—and music becomes a space for true discovery.
