Musica Viva presents this programme
of rarely performed non-operatic music by Giuseppe Verdi including his two
volumes of 12 songs published under the title of Romances of 1838 and
1845, his four individual art songs dated between 1839 and 1869, his String
Quartet in E minor, a chamber masterpiece of 1873 and three a capella
choral works. Appearing in this programme are soprano Jasmine Law,
mezzo-soprano Melody Sze, tenor Chen Yong, pianist Jaclyn Zhao and Chan
Sze-yau, young trebles Alvis Bar and Bernice Pang, together with string quartet
led by Selena Choi and Juanita Wong, and guest participants Die Konzertisten
chorus conducted by Felix Yeung.
非凡美樂在是次音樂會獻上威爾第甚少被演出的曲目，包括兩冊共十二首分別於1838年及1845年出版的浪漫歌曲、四首於1839年至1869年其 間完成的藝術歌曲、一首於1873年完成的室樂名作E小調弦樂四重奏、以及三首無伴奏合唱作品。參與這音樂會的演出者，包括女高音羅曉晴、女中音史韶韻、 男高音陳永、鋼琴家趙曉菁及陳思佑、童聲巴樂天及彭子珈、由蔡子穎及王翹 羽青 帶領的弦樂四重奏、以及由楊欣諾指揮的Die
