The Italian Cultural Institute is happy to bring the famous Commedia dell’Arte group, Fraternal Compagnia, back to Hong Kong for a series of events, including a performance and a workshop at the International Cultural Festival 2025 at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Fraternal Compagnia

Fraternal Compagnia was founded in 2000 and in over 20 years of activity has worked in several different areas: projects dedicated to schools, support for homeless and minors at risk, spreading and teaching Commedia dell’Arte, issues related to gender inequality, theatrical professional training, and organization of Festivals. In 2010 they organized the First World Commedia dell’Arte Day in Bologna, sponsored by UNESCO and ITI – International Theater Institute – Italian Centre. In 2012, they won the ENRIQUEZ AWARD.

They went to Mainland China, Japan, Turkey, Poland, France and Spain, thanks to collaborations with various universities. The crew is supported by the Municipality of Bologna Culture Department, by the Emilia Romagna Region, the Monte Foundation and since 2021 by the Italian Ministry of Culture.
