Born in Nuoro (Sardinia), He started studying music and alto sax
at the age of 12. He started shortly an intense musical activity
playing with several pop music bands as well as in various theatrical
performances.
The kind of music he focuses his attention on is above all jazz. He has
played with many bands in the most important Italian and international
jazz festivals: in Poland, Austria, Spain, Finland, Switzerland,
Germany, France, Russia, South Africa, Cuba, the USA, and other
countries.
Among the jazz musicians he has played with there are Rabih Abou Kalil,
Bobby McFerrin, Michel Godard, G.Trovesi, Vinicio Capossela , Antonello
Salis, Mal Waldron, Djivan Gasparian, Araik Bakhtckian, Salvatore
Bonafede, Paolo Fresu, Famoudou Don Moye, Roswell Rudd, Sainko
Namtcylak, Bebo Ferra, Danilo Rea, Babà Sissokò, Badara Seck, Al di
Meola, Hamid Drake, Franck Tortiller, Luigi Cinque, Mauro Pagani, Gianna
Nannini, Massimo Ranieri, Andrea Parodi, Piero Pelù, Luigi Lai, Solis
String , Noa, Gil Dor, Zohar Fresco, and more.
His present research concerns the sounds of Sardinian music, and in
particular the use of the voice with a saxophone and other typical
Sardinian instruments of his island, but in a modern musical context.
The large number of his recordings ranges from duets to orchestra
