In the framework of the celebrations of the Italian National Day, the Consulate General of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute have
co-organised a tribute to Giuseppe Verdi for the 200th anniversary of
his birth.
The Recital, besides Verdi’s repertoire, features a diverse and
interesting lyrical programme representing an historical journey through
Italian Opera, from Martucci to Puccini, Mascagni to Tosti.

Playing as a chamber music duo, Soprano and Piano, they carry
out an intense concert activity in an artistic partnership of high
profile which, during a long and successful experience throughout the
world, has made them protagonists in prestigious Theatres, Festivals and
Concert Halls such as:
Musik Halle, Hamburg – Friedenauer Kammerkonzerte, Berlin – Places des

ambassadors in the promotion and spread of the Italian cultural music,
in particular of the Opera.
The presented programmes are always formulated through careful
philological and musicological research, which accents the
interpretative qualities of a wide lyric and operatic repertoire that is
rich of those expressive and musical peculiarities deeply rooted in the
great Italian and European operatic tradition.
At the same time, rarely heard compositions of great authors between the
19th and 20th century are also rightly highlighted in a thorough and
comprehensive panorama of the lyric and operatic production.
On the occasion of the 150th Anniversary of the Unification of Italy
(2011), the President of the Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, addressed
praises and commendations to them for the uniqueness and quality of
