As a part of Made in Italy 2013: Quality & Lifestyle, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong & Macao in association with Aurora Theatre and Lavender’s Blue Services presents two one-act English language plays taken from Italian Opera: The Maid Made Mistress, based on Pergolesi’s La Serva Padrona and Johnny Xi based on Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi. Traslated into english as comedies for the stage and re-set in Hong Kong by Peter Gordon, these two classic tales are funny and relevant as ever!
